Color

A museum-quality framed reproduction of a stunning modernist 1980 Moscow Olympics poster — designed by Hungarian artist B. Gyurkovich and published by Plakat Publishing House, Moscow.

The design is a bold, geometric reimagining of the Olympic rings: five colourful 3D discs, each containing a stylised map of one of the world’s continents, rendered in a clean “cut-out” aesthetic with a deep purple, bright orange, and yellow palette. A unique collaboration between a Hungarian designer and the Soviet state — one of the more visually inventive pieces from the Moscow Games series. Horizontal format.
