Framed Reproduction of 1976 Soviet Ukrainian Poster – Artist M. Fomichov – Lenin & Komsomol Youth – 25th CPSU Congress

A museum-quality framed reproduction of a striking 1976 Soviet Ukrainian propaganda poster by M. M. Fomichov — published in Kyiv by Molod in the lead-up to the 25th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

The composition is multi-layered and deliberately monumental: a large ghostly profile of Lenin watches over the next generation from a sweeping red banner, while in the foreground a determined young male worker in a construction helmet and a female student stand in profile, gazing toward a stylised industrial horizon of geometric architecture. A Ukrainian-language edition produced in Kyiv for the Ukrainian SSR — significantly rarer than the equivalent Russian-language prints from Moscow.

Translation of text (from Ukrainian):
“Komsomol members! Young men and women! With shock labour, high quality of work, and excellent studies, we will meet the XXV Congress of the CPSU!”
